RBFCU Rallies 64 Branches for Texas-Sized Food Drive Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) will launch Stars, Stripes & Service, a community impact campaign that is part of the credit union's America's 250th celebration, July 1-24, 2026.

Stars, Stripes & Service. Celebrating our future together!

The campaign will engage 64 branches in a food drive to collect 25,000 pounds of food for families facing food insecurity, while also matching each pound donated with a $4 contribution, up to $100,000, benefiting the North Texas Food Bank, Central Texas Food Bank, San Antonio Food Bank and Coastal Bend Food Bank. In addition to the food drive, RBFCU aims to activate 250 employee volunteers in support of local hunger-relief efforts.

After the food drive ends on July 24, the campaign will officially conclude with a media event, showing the collected food in a truck to demonstrate the impact of 25,000 pounds of food, along with a check presentation at the San Antonio Food Bank on July 31.

Throughout the 24-day campaign, community supporters and RBFCU members and employees can donate non-perishable food items at participating branches to directly food banks in their area. With a goal of 25,000 pounds of food, or about 391 pounds per branch, the effort is designed to address immediate needs while supporting hunger-relief organizations in the communities RBFCU serves.

“At RBFCU, we Go Beyond Banking by showing up for the communities we serve, and Stars, Stripes & Service is one more way we can turn compassion into action,” said RBFCU President and CEO Mark Sekula. “By combining food donations with direct financial support, we can help our food bank partners meet urgent needs while inviting our members and employees to be a part of our 'people helping people' philosophy in a shared effort to serve others.”

In a state where 1 in 6 households face food insecurity, every donation and every shared message can help feed hope, expand access to nutritious food and support families in the communities RBFCU serves.

“We are grateful to RBFCU for creating a campaign that raises both food and funding at a time when many families need additional support,” said President and CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank, Eric S. Cooper. “Partnerships like this help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food while strengthening the support systems communities rely on every day.”

“Community partnerships are essential to helping nourish our neighbors throughout Central Texas,” said President and CEO of the Central Texas Food Bank, Sari Vatske. “We appreciate RBFCU's commitment to mobilizing its branches and members in support of increasing food access for our neighbors. We are grateful for this effort.”

“This campaign reflects the kind of collaboration that can make a real difference for families across our region,” said Executive Director of the Coastal Bend Food Bank, Beatriz (Bea) Hanson. “We are thankful for RBFCU's support and for every donor who helps extend our reach to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.”

“When organizations come together with a shared purpose, the impact can be felt far beyond a single event,” said President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank, Trisha Cunningham. “We are proud to join RBFCU and fellow food bank partners in an initiative that will help provide critical resources to families throughout the region.”

RBFCU will celebrate the campaign’s impact on July 31 with a check presentation, bringing together media, community partners, and supporters to recognize what the drive made possible.
