RBFCU Celebrates Statewide Food Donations Through Stars, Stripes & Service

LIVE OAK, Texas (August 4, 2026) — Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union celebrated the impact of its Stars, Stripes & Service campaign July 31 at the San Antonio Food Bank, marking the conclusion of a  hunger-relief effort created as part of RBFCU’s America’s 250th celebration.

The 24-day campaign engaged more than 60 RBFCU branches across Texas with a goal of collecting 25,000 pounds of nonperishable food for families facing food insecurity. RBFCU also matched each pound donated with a $4 contribution, up to $100,000, benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank, Central Texas Food Bank, Coastal Bend Food Bank and North Texas Food Bank.

The campaign concluded with a media event and check presentation at the San Antonio Food Bank, where RBFCU and food bank representatives recognized the food and funding generated through the effort. The event highlighted how employee volunteers, members and community supporters helped turn everyday donations into meaningful support for food banks serving communities across the state.

Stars, Stripes, and Service Donation

“At RBFCU, we Go Beyond Banking by showing up for the communities we serve, and Stars, Stripes & Service is one more way we can turn compassion into action,” said RBFCU President/CEO Mark Sekula. “By combining food donations with direct financial support, we can help our food bank partners meet urgent needs while inviting our members and employees to be a part of our ‘people helping people’ philosophy in a shared effort to serve others.”

As the campaign neared its goal, Sekula made personal food and monetary donations, reinforcing the shared commitment behind Stars, Stripes & Service. His contributions reflected the same spirit of generosity he saw throughout the campaign from members and employees and the community who brought food donations into branches each day.

“This campaign was successful because so many people chose to give,” Sekula said. “Our members and communities showed up, and I saw our employees bringing in food donations day after day. Every can, every box and every dollar matched helped us move closer to our goal and made a meaningful difference for families across Texas.”

Stars, Stripes & Service is part of RBFCU’s broader commitment to community impact and service. Through food donations, financial support and volunteer engagement, the campaign reflects RBFCU’s continued focus on improving quality of life in the communities it serves.
