Holiday Season Starts as RBFCU Joins with Spurs ‘Season of Giving’
LIVE OAK, Texas (Nov. 19, 2025) — RBFCU is the official credit union of the San Antonio Spurs, and that means we join with the team for one of our shared values — helping the community! We Go Beyond Banking at RBFCU, and the Spurs “Season of Giving” gives us the opportunity to show it.
Members of our Executive Team, senior leadership and Marketing Department served a meal to more than 60 families brought together by the Spurs. Our team — Mark Sekula, Sonya McDonald, Mary O’Rourke, Ashley Ward and Danny Garza — also gave cobranded RBFCU/Spurs blankets to each family.
Our team interacted with Spurs players to keep the meals moving and make sure everyone was served. That included loading a tray with main-course dishes for Spurs forward Julian Champagnie, who made the rounds wearing a turkey outfit.
This is one of five “Season of Giving” events that the Spurs will conduct during the year. The team expects to reach families living in more than 10 different ZIP codes. Through our sponsorship and with the help of other partners, donations of more than 5,000 turkeys, toys and other household necessities will be made.
