Carswell Promoted to Chief Accounting Officer at RBFCU

LIVE OAK, Texas (July 12, 2019) — Randy Carswell has been named Senior Vice President-Chief Accounting Officer at Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU). Mr. Carswell most recently served as Senior Vice President-Finance.

“Randy has been a key contributor while RBFCU has strategically grown to serve more members who have entrusted this credit union to be their financial partner,” RBFCU Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mark Sekula said. “Our members are part of what has become the 12th-largest credit union in the U.S., and Randy and his finance team have been crucial during the accounting and safeguarding of that growth.”

Mr. Carswell is a CPA who came to RBFCU in 2011 as the Vice President of Audit. In less than 18 months, he was promoted to Senior Vice President. He has also served as the Senior Vice President of Business Solutions.

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He spent the first 10 years of his career in public accounting in the San Antonio area, including time with a “Big Four” accounting firm and a large regional firm.

Mr. Carswell has contributed to volunteer efforts serving on the Board of SACADA and also as judge in the San Antonio CPA Society Jr. Duel in Ol’ San Antonio, a financial literacy program and competition that has included participation from more than 5,500 students and 15 high schools in San Antonio since 2008. RBFCU is a title sponsor.
