RBFCU SMS (Text) Message Alerts Terms & Conditions

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) offers SMS (Text Message) Alerts to help keep you informed about your account activity and security. These Alerts may include:

  • Notifications of potentially suspicious activity
  • Updates to your account or personal information
  • Security-related changes such as password updates
  • Confirmation of certain account actions

To receive these Alerts, express consent is required.

By opting in, you agree:

In the event of a security issue related to your account, you agree that we may notify you using your contact information listed in our account records, including your mobile telephone number. By providing phone number(s) to RBFCU (including any wireless, mobile or VOIP number), you expressly consent to receive text messages from RBFCU or any affiliates or agents performing services on our behalf.

Types of Alerts We Send

RBFCU sends several types of SMS Alerts, including but not limited to:

  • Irregular activity Alerts — e.g., unusual transaction amounts
  • Personal information changes — e.g., updates to your contact details
  • Security updates — e.g., password changes
  • Account or loan updates — e.g., new accounts or loans opened
  • Confirmation Alerts — e.g., online transfers
  • Optional Alerts — e.g., payment reminders*

*When enrolling or unenrolling from optional Alerts, you’ll receive confirmation via SMS.

By opting in, you consent to receive messages:

You consent to receive text messages to notify you: (i) in regards to your accounts; (ii) to provide you with credit or debit card transaction Alerts; (iii) to collect a debt or other obligation; (iv) updates related to products or services you applied for; or (v) as otherwise necessary to service your account.

How to Opt Out

To stop receiving SMS Alerts from RBFCU:

  • Text STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, or QUIT to 968772 and 839872
  • You’ll receive a confirmation: “You have successfully been unsubscribed from RBFCU text notifications. Reply START to re-subscribe.”

Note: Once opted out, you will no longer receive important Alerts including fraud notifications, account changes and optional Alerts.

To re-subscribe:

  • Text START, STARTALL, SUBSCRIBE, or UNSTOP to 968772 and 839872
  • You’ll receive a confirmation: “You have successfully re-subscribed to RBFCU text notifications.”

Some Alerts may still be sent via email or push notification (RBFCU Mobile® app required). Members may also request:

  • Optional Alerts via email only
  • One-Time Passcodes via phone call instead of SMS

How to Get Assistance

To get assistance with SMS Alerts from RBFCU:

Additional notes:

  • A valid U.S. mobile number must be on file to receive SMS Alerts.
  • If you’re not receiving Alerts, you may have previously opted out. Text START to 968772 and 839872 to re-subscribe.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Enrolling in Alerts is free, but you may be charged for text messages by your mobile wireless provider. Alerts are a supplemental service and are not a replacement for responsible account review and management. You are responsible for any fees or charges incurred on your account whether you receive your Alerts or not.

  • Message frequency varies depending on account activity and alert preferences.
