Important Changes to Your Platinum Points Rewards Mastercard® Credit Card

At RBFCU, we make it a top priority to continuously improve our cardholder experience while enhancing your card security. We’re excited to introduce our new RBFCU World Cash Back Mastercard® credit card. As of January 1, 2023, your RBFCU Platinum Rewards Mastercard has been upgraded to the all-new RBFCU World Cash Back Mastercard credit card.


Your new card has arrived!

You should have received your new RBFCU World Cash Back Mastercard this month. It includes a new account number, 3-digit security code and expiration date, which will further safeguard your card's security and will assist us in protecting you from fraud. You can now activate your new credit card! After activating your new credit card, please destroy your old credit card.

How to activate your new credit card

Activate online

Sign in to your Online Banking account to activate your new RBFCU Mastercard credit card.

Activate in our app

  1. Open the RBFCU Mobile app
  2. Tap “Manage Cards” in the bottom menu
  3. Select your new credit card     
  4. Select “Activate”
  5. Follow the prompts to complete activation

Call 1-888-999-4355 and follow the prompts to activate your new RBFCU Mastercard credit card.

Activate by calling from the phone number listed on your credit card account. You will also need to know the last four digits of your Social Security number or Taxpayer Identification number.

Update your card information

If you have your current RBFCU Mastercard credit card set up for recurring payments or listed as a card on file with your favorite online stores, update your credit card information with your new RBFCU Mastercard credit card as soon as possible to avoid late payments or disruption in service.

If you use the RBFCU Mobile app, you’ll need to update to the latest version to access transactions and details for your new Mastercard credit card. Please visit rbfcu.org/update from your device to download the latest version.

RBFCU Platinum Points Rewards Mastercard Cardholder FAQs

  • What will happen to my current points?

    Any earned points will expire end-of-day Dec. 31, 2022. To redeem your point rewards before they expire, visit scorecardrewards.com.

  • Will I earn any rewards going forward?
    + -

    Yes, your card will automatically convert to a Mastercard World Cash Back credit card, which earns unlimited 2% cash back on every purchase.

  • When will I start earning 2% cash back rewards?
    + -

    You will begin earning 2% cash back on every purchase Jan. 1, 2023.

  • Where can I review my cash back reward earnings?
    + -

    Your cash back earnings will display on each account statement. You can also view your cash back rewards by signing in to your Online Banking account or the RBFCU Mobile app.

    During the conversion time period (between January and February), cash back rewards will be temporarily unavailable. You will still accrue cash back, but you will not be able to view or use your earnings until the conversion process is complete.

  • How do I find out how much cash back rewards I've earned during the transition?

  • How do I redeem my rewards?

    You can redeem your rewards by signing in to your Online Banking account or the RBFCU Mobile app.

  • When can I begin to take advantage of the new benefits?
