RBFCU’s CEO listed in Business Journal ‘Influencers’

LIVE OAK, Texas (Sept. 18, 2019) — RBFCU President and Chief Executive Officer Christopher W. O’Connor has been named to “The Business Journal Influencers,” which spotlights 100 executives who are having an impact on business being done in communities across the nation.

These executives were identified in conjunction with editors and staff writers across The Business Journals network of more than 40 publications, including San Antonio Business Journal. Mr. O’Connor was named as one of the Top CEOs last year by the San Antonio Business Journal. He also was named CEO of the Year by the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions in 2016.

Each of these influencers has been featured as part of The Business Journals’ continuing coverage of the newsmakers in those cities. According to the Business Journal, these are executives to know for entrepreneurs and companies that are looking to expand their businesses to new locations or to grow further in the cities in which they’re now operating.

“These 100 executives represent both large, nationally known lenders as well as smaller, community based institutions,” the Business Journal states. “The group also includes entrepreneurial investors and the financial stewards who work on behalf of businesses nationwide as chief financial officers.

“These individuals are positioned to have an impact on matters of business and finance in myriad areas.”

Other executives from South Texas-based companies are Dennis Nixon of IBC Bank (based in Laredo) and David Bohne of Broadway Bank.
