RBFCU Opens Doors to Portland

Branch along the Texas Coastal Bend is the credit union’s 61st location

LIVE OAK, Texas (Oct. 14, 2020) — Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) has opened its third location along the Texas Coastal Bend with a successful start of business at the Portland Branch.

This branch opening follows the enthusiastic inauguration of service to our members in Corpus Christi at the Cimarron and Staples locations. RBFCU expanded to the Corpus Christi market in October 2018.

The Portland Branch is managed by Assistant Vice President Johnny Martinez, with Helena Solomon as Assistant Branch Manager. RBFCU Business Development Regional Director Steve Klein has spent more than two years making contacts along Corpus Christi and is spreading the word about the credit union difference to surrounding Coastal Bend communities.

Soon, the largest petrochemical plant in the world, part owned by ExxonMobil, will be operating close to Portland (it’s a $10 billion investment and could employ more than 600 permanently). Portland is home to more than 17,000 residents according to the latest U.S. Census reports.

During October, the Portland Branch has joined Cimarron and Staples in offering member service inside our branch lobby area. Our Portland location offers two drive-up ATMs that are deposit-enabled and also allow our members to conduct other transactions.

RBFCU operates in the areas of San Antonio, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth and Corpus Christi. The Portland Branch is the 61st RBFCU location.
