RBFCU Debit Cardholders Reach $100 Million in Total Cash-Back Rewards

LIVE OAK, Texas (Feb. 8, 2019) – Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union set another record and reached a significant milestone in its cash-back rewards program in 2018. The credit union gave members more than $14 million in cash-back debit card rewards in 2018, for a total of more than $100 million over the 11 years of the program’s existence.

RBFCU members received 10 cents cash back on every purchase made with their debit cards from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2018, resulting in the largest cash-back deposit in the credit union’s history. The debit card program continues to grow in popularity, as there are no fees or charges attached to a member’s ability to earn cash back.

Along with debit card rewards, RBFCU gave back $5.9 million in cash-back rewards in November using their Mastercard credit cards. In total, the credit union gave back more than $20 million to its members in 2018.

“Our members are the reason why we’ve been so successful for more than 65 years,” said Mary O’Rourke, executive vice president and chief of staff at RBFCU. “These rewards are a small token of our appreciation for their membership, and for all they’ve done to make RBFCU what it is today.”
