How Do I Qualify for Credit Union Membership?

A credit union membership with Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) gives you access to some of the best financial services and products within the great state of Texas. Review the following sections to learn how you may qualify for membership with RBFCU. Our credit union qualifications extend to active military, Texas homeowners, students of specific local schools and more.

Immediate Family Members

Membership with RBFCU is a family affair. If any of your immediate family members are credit union members, you are eligible to join. Immediate family members include household members, children, step-children, parents, step-parents, siblings and adoptive relationships.

Military Affiliation

RBFCU began on Randolph Air Force Base in 1952 and has maintained a strong affiliation with the military through the years. There are several ways you can be eligible:

  • Active Duty Military
  • Retired or Military Dependent
  • Civil Service or Contract Employee or Retiree

Along with private schools, there are several districts in Texas with schools and universities in our field of membership. Click here to see a complete list of school districts. If any member of your household attends one of the schools we serve, you are eligible for membership.

Where You Work

If you are an employee of an RBFCU Select Group, you are eligible to join the credit union. A Select Group (SG) is a company or organization that offers its employees/members the ability to join RBFCU.

Where You Worship

As part of our Select Groups, we also serve churches within our field of membership. For example, most of the parishioners with the Austin Catholic Diocese are eligible for membership.

Associations You Belong To

Many associations and organizations offer credit union membership to their members. These include Homeowners' Associations, scouting organizations and more.
