Easy Paths to RBFCU Membership

It’s easier to join a credit union than you think! There are thousands of ways to join RBFCU, and just taking a few minutes to apply can make it easy to answer the question, “Where is a credit union near me?” And it’s free! You can join RBFCU by visiting one of our several branch locations in Texas. You can call us at 210-945-3300. If you prefer to do your banking online, you can join by visiting rbfcu.org or the RBFCU Mobile app.

Here are the simple ways you can qualify for a credit union membership at RBFCU!

1. Where do you live, work or worship?

Although RBFCU was established as a military credit union in San Antonio, we have expanded to become a Texas credit union with a service area that extends through the state and to all walks of life. The address of your residence or work site could lie in an area we serve. The church or place of worship you attend could be one of the groups we serve.

2. What about the school you or your child currently attends?

If you have a child who is a student in a certain school district, or if you attend a community college or university, that place of education could be among the institutions we serve.

3. Do you volunteer anywhere in the community?

Volunteer service and credit union membership go hand in hand. RBFCU members serve with organizations as large as the Texas PTA, Knights of Columbus and San Antonio Food Bank, or they belong to something like a chamber of commerce or a homeowners association.

4. Do you currently access Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, or Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland?

RBFCU is proud of our heritage of service to the military, which dates back to 1952. If you can access the commissary at these military posts, you can join.

5. Is there someone in your immediate family who is a member of RBFCU?

If you have a spouse, parent, sibling, child or stepchild who has been a member of RBFCU, you can become a member, too.

6. If you are not sure you qualify for membership at RBFCU, please call 210-945-3300.

Our representatives can answer your questions. They’ll guide you through the process. There are many other ways to join, and an RBFCU representative can show you the way.
