RBFCU Reaches 1 Million-Member Landmark
Credit union officials welcome millionth member at RBFCU’s Mission South Branch
LIVE OAK, Texas (Oct. 27, 2021) — During the past seven years, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union has doubled in membership size and recently celebrated reaching the 1 million-member milestone. RBFCU, the largest credit union in Texas, is among nine credit unions in the United States that serves more than 1 million members.
“Among the many ways we measure our performance as a credit union, membership is vitally important,” RBFCU President/CEO Christopher O’Connor said. “If we’re growing in membership, we know we are offering the service and the products that our members desire.”
To mark the occasion, Cynthia C. was welcomed as the 1 millionth member when she joined RBFCU at the Mission South Branch in San Antonio. Cynthia was presented with a number of gifts from the credit union including a $100 credit to her new account, which she said will be saved to buy a new car.
The credit union also saw membership growth on digital channels through the Online Banking platform at rbfcu.org and the RBFCU Mobile app.
“With this size of membership, as always, our aim is to maintain our strengths in service and to continue to offer our members new products that save time, save money and earn money,” Mr. O’Connor said. “To reach 1 million members is a significant marker for us, and we believe it reflects the job we’re doing as well as the credit union difference.”
