Military Transitioning Event at RBFCU Attracts Wide Attendance
LIVE OAK, Texas (July 26, 2019) — The Centurion Military Alliance Mega Warrior Transition Readiness Workshop was conducted at Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) for the seventh year with another large attendance count. Hundreds attended during presentations at the RBFCU Auditorium in the morning before mock interview sessions and social networking opportunities were offered later in the day.
CMA conducts this workshop for armed-service members, veterans and spouses, demonstrating that it is a successful and critical program for our military community.
“Randolph-Brooks is committed to assisting our service members in every way, particularly as they move from active duty to a career as a civilian – it’s a very difficult transition to make,” RBFCU Executive Vice President-Chief of Staff Mary O’Rourke said. “There’s lots of opportunity through this program. It will help take what made our service members a success in the military and translate that to their next step.
“We’re very proud to have everyone here, and it’s an honor to be the host again this year for this event.”
CMA’s aim is to prepare our military-affiliated community a means of transitioning to civilian life with the additional support and resources to get everyone on the right track to employment. Officials with Joint Base San Antonio and St. Phillips College’s Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center also were on hand to support the event.
“Thanks to everyone who came to participate, and to support those who are going through this transition,” CMA’s Chief Executive Officer Chaunte’ Hall said. “It means a lot, that everyone made use of their most precious resource – time – to be involved. This is a great collaboration. Thank you to Randolph-Brooks for opening the door for us.”
In addition to RBFCU, listed event sponsors included JBSA, Alamo Colleges District, Booz Allen Hamilton, Christus Health, Comfort Experts, CVS Health, First Command, Hilton, Hire Military, Military Talent Group, New York Life, Rackspace, Randstad, SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2), Spectrum, Texas State University, Trident University International, USAA, UTSA and WorkMerk.
