What auto insurance coverage is required in Texas?
The State of Texas requires all drivers to carry at minimum $30,000 for each injured person, up to a total of $60,000 per accident and $25,000 for property damage per accident. This basic coverage is called 30/60/25 coverage.
RBFCU Insurance Agency finds this coverage to be inadequate in the event of an accident or injury resulting from a covered accident. So, while 30/60/25 is the minimum coverage the State of Texas requires, we recommend increasing those limits to provide adequate protection for you, your vehicle, and your passengers in the event of a covered loss/accident.
