LIVE OAK, Texas — Melissa Sowell was recently named assistant vice president of planning for Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union. In her new position, Sowell will oversee credit union development including planning, security, facilities and real estate appraisal review.

Sowell has been a member of the RBFCU team since 2011, and most recently held the title of planning projects manager. She has more than 20 years experience in a variety of functional areas, including property negotiation and acquisition, accounting, administration and project management.

“As we continue to grow and expand our footprint, Melissa's skills and expertise will assist us in developing and maintaining locations that serve our community,” said Sonya McDonald, senior vice president of planning and market development. “Our goal is to build a strong network of branch locations and effectively provide services to help our members save time, save money and earn money.”

Sowell is an alumnus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, and she is a CPA.
