LIVE OAK, Texas - As Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union continues to grow, members of the leadership team have had the opportunity to expand their responsibilities and increase their areas of expertise.

Mike Maldonado will become the senior vice president of consumer lending. Maldonado joined RBFCU in May 2012 as the vice president of business lending. He has more than 30 years of experience in both consumer and commercial lending. Maldonado also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Central Catholic High School.

Sherry Beatty was promoted to vice president of branch support. Beatty has more than 20 years of experience in the credit union industry. During her employment at RBFCU, she has served in several managerial capacities, including as a branch manager, and as the assistant vice president of the member service center. In her most recent position, Beatty led the quality control team, guiding efforts to provide members a consistently excellent experience through each interaction with RBFCU.

Other credit union leaders will also be assuming additional responsibilities. Randy Carswell has been named senior vice president of business lending. Carswell joined the RBFCU team as vice president of internal audit in 2011 after more than a decade of experience in accounting. In his most recent role at the credit union, he served as the senior vice president of audit. Carswell is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. He earned both bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.

Karissa Gonzalez has been named vice president of risk management. Karissa will lead this team in addition to serving as general counsel for the credit union. Karissa is a licensed attorney and a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, and Bexar County Women's Bar Association. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University and the University of Iowa College of Law, and has more than 10 years of experience in the legal field.
