Credit Union Kicks Off Campaign with $100,000 Gift

LIVE OAK, Texas – Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union has announced a $100,000 gift toward the completion of the Warrior and Family Support Center Therapeutic Garden and Recreation Area. In addition, the credit union will match all contributions made toward the project through December 31, 2011, up to an additional $150,000.

The WFSC provides a homelike atmosphere and place of healing for Wounded Warriors and their families. The completion of the Therapeutic Garden and Recreation Area will also provide expanded therapy opportunities for Wounded Warriors in recovery, including outdoor fitness areas for both physical therapy and emotional healing.

According to RBFCU senior vice president of planning and market development, Sonya McDonald, the credit union is simply doing its part to contribute to the healing of valiant military service members. "While RBFCU serves more than military members, we are grateful for our military heritage," McDonald said. "We are honored to provide healing for these wounded warriors and their families. I hope many others in the community will take advantage of this opportunity to honor those who serve by contributing during our matching funds program."
